Pre-Review Thoughts by Liz Moore, Riverhead Books 2020, 482 pages
MOTIVATION for READING: I would read this anyway because I life Liz Moore. It was on the TOB Long List but didn’t make the Short. I am looking forward to this very much.
WHAT’s it ABOUT: I really don’t know. Something about crime and sisters? I’ve read the intro/blurb a few times but just can’t access it. I do remember thinking how interesting that I also really want to get to The Vanishing Half which is also about sisters. I probably have mixed/morphed which book is about what.
Here’s to everyone having a healthy happy New Year.
How about some pie? Elvis Pie:

Hope it’s winner!!! I’m thinking my first read of 2021 is going to be Leave the World Behind, which Annie so kindly gave me for Christmas. But who knows, I may change my mind a dozen times before then. Okay, I’m off to google Elvis Pie now. Hope your 2021 is so very amazing in all the best ways, Care!!!!
One of my faves from 2020 – loved the story of it and I learned so much.
Long Bright River is a great choice for your first read. I’ve heard good things about it. I still haven’t decided. It shouldn’t be this hard of a decision. Haha
I have this book but totally forgot I owned a copy until your post. Happy First Book!!
Obama put it on his 2020 Fave Books list. It sounds good!
Happy New Year Care! I read Moore’s novel The Unseen World a few years ago and liked it but didn’t love it. But I think my slight disappointment was due more to mis-marketing than anything else. The writing was solid.
Try Heft. I thought it was great. The Unseen World was thus built up to too high expectation; it was OK.
I didn’t choose this one first, but hope to get to it soon. I read the first chapter and was intrigued.
Your choice is a good one! on my list
