Perhaps I will remember to take a photo of a slice with whipped cream before it all gets “et”.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

  1. YUMMMMMMM!! I’ve only cooked pecan pie once. As a freshman in college. Using my cousin’s oven (she lived 4 doors down). The pie spilled over and burned on the bottom of the oven. To tell you how often they used their oven…I didn’t clean it out until the end of Spring semester. 🙂

I know your pies will be delicious and I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving.

    1. That pie sounds odd since pecan pie filling usually doesn’t boil up and over the crusts, in my experience. Will help you get over any fear of this on your next attempt, kK?

      Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. I can’t hear or say “pecan pie” without thinking of that scene in When Harry Met Sally…”but I would be proud to partake of your pecan pie”. Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. I make pecan pie with Karo syrup–in fact, where I come from, people tend to call it Karo pecan pie. I’ll bet yours tastes a bit richer and darker.

    1. Yes, I made a chocolate Derby pie variation and of course, had bourbon whipped cream! Pecan pie is best with this whipped cream, too. Happy Thanksgiving!
