For this weekend’s Bloggiesta, I will attempt the following:

Re do or obliterate Google Reader – just not sure what to do with it…  It’s not working for me.

Update my tracking spreadsheet in the NEW & IMPROVED Google (no longer called) DOCS!

Write a few reviews

Update my blogroll

√    Cheer on #Bloggiesta-ers in Twitter

OK. Let’s get started, shall we?

  1. Cleaned up my Google reader blog roll and then put everything into folders. I’ve got five folders now and one of them is marked favorites. Those will be the ones I go to daily and I won’t get distracted by everything else. Hoping that will make my reader easier to use. Hadn’t even thought to go work with the new Google “docs.” I’ve never liked Google docs so I’m hoping I’ll like the new iteration better. Good luck with your plans!

  2. You’re the best cheerleader EVER. EVER!!!

I don’t know what to do without Google Reader. I hate it and I’m ALWAYS behind but I can’t seem to find a better way to hop around. Maybe I should do the good old fashioned sidebars but with my hopping rate I’m afraid I’ll miss something. At least with GR I can scan and mark as read. Though it’s nearly impossible for me to actually mark as read. 😦

  3. I finally sorted my huge, unwieldy Google Reader list alphabetically, and feel much better about it! (It only took a minute, but for some reason I thought it hadn’t worked before and that I needed to spend more time getting it to sort the newer additions in with the old.)

      1. If you mouse over the word “Subscriptions” in the Google Reader sidebar, you should see a little down arrow signalling a pull-down menu. One of the menu items is Sort Alphabetically!

  4. If you’re looking for a new blog reading software, try NetNewsWire or Reeder. I like both and they sync with Google Reader I believe so you don’t have to go resubscribing and all.
