Becca at Bookstack: A Ravenous Reader recently celebrated a gift of postcards featuring artwork of women caught in the act of reading. I was a lucky one to receive a postcard and I must say thank you – it even matches my decor.

Also this week, my home has been invaded by poppets. THANK YOU!!
The artwork is Claude Monet’s Meditation c. 1871

What a lovely idea. If I had that card, I’d put it in my study where I write. The only card I have at the moment is a picture of a monkey at a typewriter. My husband knows not to come in if the monkey’s displayed on the door. It means I’m in full creative flow…
Thank you. I would love the original to hang in my office… ahem -maybe just a nice print. Congrats on the new book and tour!
Thank you for your good wishes. I hope you join in the Virtual Book Launch. In any event, please visit my blog again. Book lovers are always welcome.
Thanks – I will visit again.
Ah! You got the Will’o'the wisp poppet! I love that one
Thought about scooping it up, but I got two other ones instead…like I need more poppets :/
I did! It was a gift from birthday girl Jill aka Softdrink aka FizzyBeverage!!!! I was just floored when I opened the box. I had just placed an order for the Red Poppet. I want a purple one.
I love that photo. It’s pretty hard to take a bad photo when poppets are involved. They just make one smile.
I know! I’m very excited to declare myself a new poppet-addict.
Oh yay! Poppet has a friend!!
yay, Poppets! I love the postcard too.
@Softdrink – I know! I had one on order, it came the very next day. So fun.
@Nymeth – yay! yippee! I’ve been trying to explain poppets to a friend. but she already thinks I’m strange for blogging about books and now I have a ‘pet’? sigh.
Aw, they’re so cute!!
I’m so glad you liked it
Woohoo Care has Poppets!!
I know – very thrilling!
