Weekly Geek Week SIX

How timely is this week’s Weekly Geek theme!   To get caught up on reviews!

Soon,  I will write and post my reviews of The Color Purple by Alice Walker and The Book of Air and Shadows by Michael Gruber.   Very different books from each other;  I enjoyed both.     This highlights my need to read a variety of genres.   I just don’t get those people who only read mystery after mystery after mystery, etc.    I love to mix it up and can tell you my next book is non-fiction:   Einstein {the life and times} by Ronald W. Clark.

In the meantime, I must inform that I do have a few books on my past tense page that I did not finish and will not review.    I am finding this book reviewing task to be intimidating.     AUUUUGGGhhhhh!!  the pressure!    I just had a conversation with Mom about how to balance just enough info not to give away any spoilers nor too much plot and yet, also, not sound so pretentious.    (I was trying to get her to commit to a guest post!   She is about to read a book by  Gracia Burnham;  although, now having looked her up, I’m not sure which book Mom is choosing…)   Ms Burnham is the Phillipines missionary who was kidnapped – -  I had to be reminded who she is…   Mom just heard her speak and said it was a very worthwhile.

I prefer pi.
