The Day Before Christmas Eve
The Day Before Christmas Eve…
Yesterday, at the party, we received the ‘Mystery Gift’!
What is it? What could it be?! The accompanying poem:
A mystery gift for you,
You figure out what to do
Use on your head?
Untie to make it spread.A piece of holiday bling?
A robe for your cre′che King
Keep your tea pot warm?
That would be good form.A coat for Oscar?
He’d be a star!Ideas – just a few,
At least it’s something new.A tree topper?
That would be a whopper! Also team with jam and bread
As Julie Andrews said
These are a few of my favorite things,
The bread I did not bring.
Merry Christmas! from Auntie Lil
Our lovely party was topped off with laughter and fun and… presents!
They tricked me. I was told NOT to bring any. I did bring iced reindeer cookies for the kids (E. ate his immediately and seemed to enjoy it very much.) and pie!
We offer many thanks and hugs to the dear cousins and Auntie and second cousins and even Otto the cutest kitten ever!
We enjoyed pomegranite martinis and scrumptious chips & dip. Dave & Beth’s new kitchen is absolutely lovely. The lights in the living room were proudly shown off The adults were entertained by a WINE TASTING event: The most expensive wine at $45 was LEAST favored, and the winner was Three Buck Chuck! a Charles Shaw Cabernet that cost Dave $3.00. The J. Lohr was a very close second place.
Lots of fun, this was!
