A great relief to this month’s goal of posting every day is that the Holidailies.org allows for the HOLIDAY(s) and subsequent breaks from blogging that such festitivies may require. So we only have to blog for 20 days! But I’m still attempting all 31. AND, a picture would suffice as a legitimate post. AND! only 50 words?! piece of cake…
Also, the Holidailies group gives us topics if we need a boost of motivation. Today’s Prompt is
“What childhood activity do you miss? What childhood activities have you refused to give up?”
The childhood activity I most miss is organized singing. That said, please know that I’m well aware that I could easily find a choir to join if I wanted to. I don’t really want to… This was the first thing that popped into my head.
I miss art classes, too. This is one I’ve been giving serious thought to searching out. A town 30 miles away has a “learning connection’, community education organization with all sorts of fun classes to take for not too much money. So far, I’ve taken a cooking class and a writing class. Every time I get the catalog, I circle what I am interested in and track when/how much. But I’ve put them off do to our travelling this fall and some due to location. I don’t want to drive to Providence RI, for a NIGHT class, in the WINTER.
Other classes, besides the ‘fun’ things, are business applications… I am giving consideration to taking the Grant Writing course. Both for volunteering ideas and for possible freelance work…
As for the second half question to today’s prompt… I don’t know. HEY! READING! If reading books could be considered a childhood activity, then yes, I refuse to give this up.
