Took a quick trip (actually long with many people to see and towns to drive to) which gave me opps to stop into bookstores and lots of loitering time to sit and read. I’m probably a little rude, too, when I have a good book; I read when I should be conversing and catching up.
So it’s fun when I can actually have nothing to do cuz the hub is hunting/fishing. The wind was blowing so hard, I was so excited to delight in my ‘permission’ to sit in the truck and read. I was able to complete both the Philippa Gregory book The Other Boleyn Girl and Ruth Reichl’s Garlic & Sapphires. Uh oh. What am I going to read on the plane today?
Oh yes! I have MIDDLESEX – thanks MOM!
And since, I am sitting in my jammies on a borrowed laptop to compose this update, I am again being rude and not enjoying my hosts. So back to coffee and breakfast… I’ll post reviews of these two books tomorrow or Monday. Plus I need to get back to the Lessing book and finish that up.
